2. General information on data processing
We generally process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional platform and our content and services.
Personal data is processed regularly only with your consent or where processing is permitted by law.

4. Collection and storage of personal data
a) When visiting the website
When accessing our website, the following data is automatically collected:
- IP address
- Date and time of access

- Operating system
- Referrer URL
This data is used for technical stability and security of the platform and is not used to identify individual users. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
b) Registration on the platform
When registering as a player or club, we process, among other things:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile and career data (e.g. position, club, performance data)
- Location data (city, country)
Purpose: providing platform features, profile display, search and contact functions.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
c) Profile data & visibility
Player profiles may be visible to registered clubs depending on the selected subscription.
You decide which data you publish in your profile.
5. Payment processing
For paid subscriptions (e.g. Pro membership), we process payment data exclusively via external payment providers. Sportmatrix does not store complete payment or credit card data.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Contact
If you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide will be stored to process your request.

7. Disclosure to third parties
Personal data is disclosed only:
- if you have expressly consented
- for performance of a contract
- due to legal obligations
- to technical service providers (hosting, email, payment)
All service providers are contractually obliged to comply with the GDPR.
8. Hosting & technical service providers
Our platform is operated by a professional hosting provider. Personal data may be processed on servers within the EU.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
9. Cookies & tracking
Sportmatrix uses cookies that are required for the technical operation of the platform.
Optional cookies (e.g. analytics tools) are set only with your explicit consent.
You can disable cookies at any time via your browser settings.
10. Storage period
Personal data is stored only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or statutory retention periods apply.
After deletion of your user account, your data will be deleted unless legal obligations require otherwise.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible is in particular the supervisory authority of your place of residence or of Sportmatrix's registered office.
